PUBLIC DIPLOMACY & INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

The Correspondants Diplomatiques in summary

The “Correspondants Diplomatiques” Organization was born to Malta on 1972 and was legally constituted in 1983 with a public act, with the purpose to promote human rights set out in the Universal Declaration of New York on 1948 and to develop economic and cultural exchanges relations, among individuals and institutions.
The Organization numbers professionals, businessmen, politicians and cultural figures from different countries, has favoured professional and commercial exchanges conceived and planned during meetings, ceremonies and events organized in Malta and in other foreign countries.
Next to the original proposal of being a philanthropic organization, based on assistance and social protection, the “Correspondants Diplomatiques” also collaborated to the strengthens of the industrial, the commercial and the handicrafts sectors with the aim of promoting the industriousness in the world through cultural and business relationships with international entities and institutions. In that sense, the Organization, is a central node in the organization of meetings and events to support the exchange of projects directly among individuals or through the collaboration with international entities.
In 2006 finally, obtain the accreditation to collaborate with structures based in Brussels, at the European Parliament, to provide expert advice in EU funding in favour of European business.
At the same time, as the Organization is also a philanthropic organization fosters solidarity, welfare and social protection.
The projects planned in this sense, are implemented either through simple fund-raising campaigns or through direct interventions.
The Diplomatic Correspondents Organization, wants to testify with this solidarity activity, the conviction that, for the promotion of a real development of the population in developing areas, isolated acts of sustain are no longer sufficient.
Beside first necessity supports, it is necessary to activate a plan of actions to provide the affected people with opportunities and resources with which they will be able to build a stable future. It is necessary to create conditions that increase culture and above all the opportunity to work as a primary source of the dignity of any individual.
This precise ethical vision is the foundation of the identity of the Diplomatic Correspondents who as professionals and entrepreneurs encourage solidarity and provide an opportunity for others to recognize and elevate themselves towards the dignity of work.
The organization is proud to count among its participants absolutely relevant people under a cultural, human, scientific or professional profile. Those are identified according to strict selection criteria.
The identity of the diplomatic correspondent is indeed to be related to this vision: a professional, an entrepreneur who, through his/her own activities, encourages solidarity and provides others with an opportunity for personal development.
“Help others it's like helping ourselves”, means individuating international business possibilities within developing areas and countries. Still, without having the “predatory” attitude that has often characterized the wild business penetration of some occidental countries in that area. It is true that there is a clear goal of supporting the entrepreneurship in the world however, the main goal is to create a community of professionals and entrepreneurs to incentivize and support a balanced development process in the developing countries based on solidarity. Such countries can indeed offer a double opportunity: create a successful and productive business and promote those population living standards through employment and the encouragement of humanitarian initiatives.
The profile of the Diplomatic Correspondent has always been characterized by a strong sense of solidarity and commitment to humanitarian initiatives.
For the participants to the “Correspondants Diplomatiques” solidarity is a characteristic inescapable from the professional and entrepreneur values. By adhering to the ethical and entrepreneurship principles promoted by the CD Organization, one shares the necessity of a concrete and tangible commitment to improve the living standards of the third world countries populations.
